About the Ranch
Adaline Johnson moved to Routt County in 1902 and at the age of 18 filed a homestead claim. She married John Monger in 1915 and unfortunately passed away during the Spanish Flu epidemic in 1918. In 1948, Llyod Monger took over the ranch from his father, since then it has been passed on to Larry Monger who currently works the ranch alongside his daughter Krista Monger. Images of the Monger family can be found at the Tread of Pioneers Museum digital collections.
